Initiatives to fight the Coronavirus are priorities for BAMIN

We contribute to the strengthening of public health and the local economy, always prioritizing the quality of life of the population and its employees

BAMIN is working closely with its employees and the communities in the regions where it operates. It has implemented series of actions such as the donation of safety and protection items to health units in the municipalities, and cloth masks and basic baskets for the population. Also as a strategy to strengthen the local economy, the company prioritizes the purchase and production of all donation items through local suppliers.

Purchased in local stores and distributed to vulnerable families in the regions where we operate.

In March 2021, BAMIN donated more than BRL 1 million to supply 32 ventilators, to equip health units in Bahia. This donation was made in one of the most critical moments of the pandemic, when the state's health system was under strong pressure, and helped to enable the creation of new ICU beds. The State directed five ventilators to hospitals in Caetité and five to Ilhéus, that is, ten to the region where BAMIN operates.

Measures for our employees

We are together in efforts to contain the Coronavirus in Brazil and in the world and we have adopted all the necessary preventive measures in our workplaces. See some below:

  • Internal campaign with information booklet and distribution of prevention kits;
  • Implementation of home office work and online meetings;
  • Travel restrictions and cancellation of attendance at external events;
  • Imposition of quarantine for employees who traveled for work or leisure and release to resume activities only after verification by the occupational physician;
  • Adoption of all prevention protocols for on-site employees;
  • Periodic testing for 100% of employees and service providers.

We know that mental health must also be taken care of during the quarantine period. For this reason, we hold live talks with specialist professionals addressing topics such as motivation in distance work and emotional health in times of instability, in addition to promoting online moments of relaxation for employees and their families.

BAMIN believes and hopes that together we can overcome this pandemic. With action, information and prevention, we take care of ourselves and others.
